Rohm displays a combination of fluorescent and phosphorescent materials for white OLED lighting

Rom in October 2009 28 to the Yokohama Convention and Exhibition Center held in Japan's Pacific 30 "FPD International 2009/Green Device 2009" (October 2009 28 ~ 30 days), exhibited the combination of fluorescent materials and phosphorescent materials of white OLED lighting. By using a phosphorescent material with higher luminous efficiency, the luminous intensity is increased by about 60% compared with the OLED element using the fluorescent material (the company). The average color rendering index (Ra) was above 80.

"If a fluorescent material is used to convert electricity into light, there will be about 75% heat loss. The use of phosphorescent materials, there is no heat loss in theory (the company). Therefore, the luminous efficiency can be improved. The exhibits on the red and green phosphorescent material used for the blue fluorescent material. The reason for the lack of phosphorescent materials for blue is "no phosphorescent material that ensures a satisfactory life" (the company).
