Recently, the Shanghai Station of Digital Intelligence China AIGC Technology Week 2023 Global Metaverse Conference was officially launched.
At the meeting, Shanghai Putuo District released the "Half Ma Su River" Yuanshi Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation Policy Package. The policy package has been superimposed and upgraded on the basis of Putuo’s original science and technology innovation policies, and covers a total of ten special policies that specifically serve Yuanshi enterprises, referred to as Putuo’s “Yuan Ten”.
Financial support ranging from RMB 1 million to RMB 5 million will be provided to Yuanverse enterprises in settling down, independent research and development transformation, major technological breakthroughs, and experience display of results;
In terms of venue rental and construction, enterprises are encouraged to build product experience centers and display centers in the area, and enterprises are encouraged to host summits, forums, exhibitions, expositions and other activities of the Yuanverse industry in the region, and financial subsidies ranging from RMB 200,000 to 1 million will be given.
Support the establishment of digital technology research and development institutions and cloud service centers to promote the establishment of digital economy functional headquarters, and provide one-time funding of up to 1 million yuan.
Encourage enterprises to use BIM/CIM technology to create digital twin applications in the fields of electronic information, high-end equipment, advanced materials, biomedicine, and construction, and cultivate 5G fully connected demonstration workshops and 5G digital twin transparent factories. The maximum subsidy amount shall not exceed 1 million yuan.
To support the construction of professional institutions, upon identification, a subsidy of no more than 1 million yuan will be provided.
Provide Yuanshi enterprises with a "talent service one thing" service model, integrated services for the work and life of talents, and "one-stop" assistance for talent entrepreneurship. Establish service specialists for key enterprises to provide "door-to-door" services for corporate policy processing; strengthen the function of the "Putuo Talent Preferred Card" to provide talent teams with "one-stop" services such as medical insurance and children's enrollment guidance.
In April, Wu Jincheng, director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, said in the "2023 Shanghai People's Livelihood Interview" program that in order to enhance citizens' sense of gain and experience, this year the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology will work with relevant departments to create a metaverse super scene, using digital twin technology and virtual reality technology to "move" historical buildings along the Suzhou River, Qiantan East Sports Stadium, Zhangjiang Science and Technology Park and other landmark places to the cloud to achieve seamless connection between the virtual world and the real world.
These metaverse super scenes can not only enhance the city's image and cultural atmosphere, but also provide citizens with more convenience and fun.
On June 13, the Municipal Science and Technology Commission released the "Three-Year Special Action Plan for Shanghai Metaverse Key Technology Research (2023-2025)", which focuses on the areas of "Metaverse" infrastructure, interactive terminal digital tools, etc., continues to carry out supply and demand docking activities, and opens more than 50 major metaverse application scenarios at the municipal level.
As the only digital urban metaverse scene with the theme of "one river and one river", "Yuan Shang Su River" was selected into the "2022 Shanghai First Batch Meta Universe Major Application Scenario Requirements List". It builds a digital twin scene around the waterfront landscape of Suzhou River in Shanghai, and "moves" more than 20 outstanding historical buildings 21 kilometers along the Suzhou River to the cloud. It uses various sensors along the coast to simultaneously present real-world information.
Citizens can enter the "Yuan" Shangsu River through mobile phones, computers or VR devices, appreciate the appearance and internal structure of historical buildings in the virtual space, understand the stories and cultural connotations behind them, and interact and communicate with other visitors.
At present, Putuo District is seizing the new track layout of the Metaverse. Facing the future, it will also adhere to the underlying logic of "integration of virtuality and reality, and use virtuality to strengthen reality", actively create benchmark application scenarios for the Metaverse that can be replicated and promoted, and initially built the "four beams and eight pillars" of "Chinese Martial Arts" technological innovation.
Next, Putuo District will further build an innovation engine, promote collaborative innovation, enrich scenario applications, improve the innovation ecology, and promote the Metaverse industry from "concept" to "implementation" in Putuo. It will always adhere to the spirit of "people are reliable (Pu) and things are done properly (Tuo)" to provide Yuanverse enterprises with more high-quality and accurate services.
