LED driver for industrial and general lighting applications

LM3401 and LM3405A is a new member of the National Semiconductor Corporation Ns PowerWise series of energy efficient products. These two LED drivers can drive 1W to 5W high brightness LED, especially for industrial, automotive and general lighting systems, such as solid state lamps and advertising light boxes. The two chip input voltage range is very wide, can output constant current to control the brightness of LED. In addition, lower feedback voltage helps to reduce power consumption.

National Semiconductor's high efficiency LM3401LED driver is suitable for 4.5~35V input voltage, the output current can be more than 3A, and the current can be adjusted flexibly, duty cycle up to 100%. In addition, the feedback voltage of the chip is only 0.2V, and the accuracy of the high accuracy of the influenza virus (no more than 3% of the error), so it can provide constant current for the LED, to ensure the stability of LED light color.

LM3405ALED driver is suitable for the input voltage of 3~22V, and can use the loose coupling 12V AC voltage to provide power supply, suitable for industrial and commercial lighting applications. Because the chip uses a small SOT-23 package, so the LED can be placed in a small bulb, and lighting efficiency is higher than the traditional quartz lamp and tungsten lamp, so it is a good choice to replace these two types of light.
