ERNI has introduced a new single row cable connector system with a 2.54 mm standard spacing to provide flexible connections between the cable and the printed circuit board while saving space. The main application areas of MaxiBridge connectors are various sensors, brakes and power supplies, as well as automotive, industrial electronics, computer technology, electronic consumer goods or medical engineering data applications. This compact compact new micro connector provides 7.6 amps of current carrying capacity (when the ambient temperature is at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and the upper limit temperature is about 125 degrees Celsius). The cable connector system is provided with a vertical and bending angle male connector and a vertical female connector with a 180 degree cable outlet. Based on the temperature range is extended to -55 to +125 degrees Celsius, making the MaxiBridge also suitable for demanding applications, such as automotive electronics. In addition, the configurations of 2, 3, 5, and 8 pins meet the increasing demand for a small number of pins.

This cost effective new connector system is designed for automatic surface mount assembly. The packaging of the multi-point male connector of the MaxiBridge is wrapped in tape, and the plastic outer cover which can withstand high temperature can be processed by a lead-free reflow soldering process. The connector itself also meets the requirements for the use of hazardous substances restriction act. Currently, MaxiBridge connector terminal design can only be equipped with AWG 20 cable.
