Vishay launches new 0.9mm thick LED

Vishay Intertechnology company introduced the use of indium gallium nitride (InGaN) technology, with low resistance and high light power characteristics of the new SMD LED warm white VLMW611.. And VLMW621.. Series, VLMW611.. Series and VLMW621.. Series by CLCC-6 package, with CLCC-6 0.9mm flat package industry of ultra thin thickness.

These new LED with 1800mcd ~ 7100mcd range of light intensity, as well as 40K/W and 50K/W low thermal resistance, specifically for automotive and transportation, consumer and general application of backlight and lighting were optimized. The main applications include handheld mobile terminals, such as mobile phones and PDA, etc.; in addition, it is suitable for the use of dashboards, signs, advertising displays, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and other appliances and bicycle lights.

Vishay said that in the market, the need for reliable and extremely high light efficiency of the product, these components of the ceramic package so that they need to be careful in the application of thermal management to become the ideal light source. Their low thermal resistance allows these components to be used as the extra current required to achieve the maximum light output while maintaining up to 50000 hours of service life.

All of these components have 140mA forward current, 4.3V maximum forward voltage and 650mW power consumption. These components can provide 24lm/W light efficiency as well as the highest 1kV ESD withstand voltage value in accordance with the JESD22-A114-B specification.

The LED has a 60 degree half intensity angle and is compatible with the IR reflow process and conforms to CECC 00802 and J-STD-020C standards. These components have been certified by AEC-Q101 automotive standards and comply with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC specifications. According to JEDEC LevEL 4 standard pretreatment CLCC-6 and CLCC-6 flat package lead free (Pb), and in line with RoHS.
