The development of the OLED panel using the concave printing technology

The big Japanese printing (DNP) uses the concave plate printing technology to develop the passive matrix OLED panel. Thin electro-optic display card for displaying variable information, such as text.

Japanese printing has been in the development of organic materials can easily turn into a kind of ink like polymer OLED materials, and actively develop a high-precision concave plate printing technology. Through the use of self-developed special gravure printing machine as well as the use of high polymer OLED formation of special ink, thick 0.7mm, 300mm square glass substrate on the trial produced a OLED panel.

The ink is used to form a hole injection layer about 60NM, a hole transporting layer of about 20nm, and a luminous layer of about 80nm. The thickness deviation of these three layers is controlled within + 4%, and there is no brightness deviation. Driving voltage is 12V. Able to shine with 100cd/m2 brightness, so it can display a clear variable text information. The size of the OLED panel is 192mm * 32mm * 1.4mm and 110mm * 37mm * 1.4mm two. Pixel spacing was 1.0mm, 1.15mm. Pixels are 32 x 192 pixels, 32 x 96 pixels.

Japanese printing in the future will be the use of independent development of the printing process, by giving full play to the characteristics of the OLED panel to promote product development. The goal is to achieve practicality in 2010, and before the year 2012 to achieve sales of about 1 billion 200 million yen.
