Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute developed 50lm/W AC LED

It is reported that the Taiwan Institute of industrial technology developed a brightness of 50lm/W AC LED, does not require AC-DC converter.

Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute of the development of AC LED, can be directly from the 60Hz/110 volt AC power supply, does not require AC-DC converter, and can be used in indicators and neon lights.

LED conversion of AC is mainly used in indoor lighting, and LED into DC will be mainly used for outdoor signage lighting and street lights.
