Ciba company has developed a deep red phosphorescent organic light emitting diode (OLED) light emitting body, can be combined with NovaLED PIN OLED technology, the life of 50 thousand hours, the initial brightness of 1000 cd/m2. The new material can support the development trend of OLED display and lighting equipment market towards high efficiency and low voltage.
Ciba said that in order to provide efficient phosphorescent materials to the market, the company developed a variety of light-emitting devices can be compatible with Novaled patented OLED technology. Red is one of the first commercially available materials, can provide users with long life product performance and the best thermal stability. Currently, the company is developing green and blue.
Novaled company said, deep red phosphorescent material long life, working voltage as low as 3.3V, power up to 8.1 lm/W, for display or other new light-emitting applications are very suitable. OLED technology can even exceed the luminous efficiency of energy-saving bulbs.
