PHILPS and a new product: smart LED bulb SlimStyle BR30

From the appearance, it looks like a strange plastic mushrooms, but in fact, PHILPS's latest energy-saving bulbs SlimStyle BR30. The goal of the SlimStyle BR30 is to reduce the energy consumption of household floodlights while making them less clumsy. Following the pace of the flattened SlimStyle bulb, which was released earlier this year, SlimStyle BR30 gave up most of the heat sinks needed for most LED lighting.

As a result, PHILPS can significantly reduce the main SlimStyle BR30 bulb, its size eventually no more than a plastic rod, white top and evenly dispersed in a large, mushroom umbrella, white top hiding LED lamp.

9.5W SlimStyle BR30 white light generated by the equivalent of 60W 2700K bulbs, while the degree of warmth is similar to the traditional incandescent bulbs. But PHILPS claims that the product produces 650 lumens (lumen) light power consumption is lower than the traditional incandescent bulbs by 85%, the entire life of up to save $152 in electricity bills.

Although it is too early to make a judgment on the SlimStyle BR30 samples sent by PHILPS, the quality of its light will certainly not be the problem of the kind of cold that bothers some LED bulbs. PHILPS said that SlimStyle BR30 is now being accepted "STAR" (ENERGY) test. The first generation of SlimStyle bulbs in April this year, when approved, thanks to energy subsidies, the price of this product in some U.S. states fell below $2 per.

SlimStyle BR30 will be launched in July this year, online sales, a month after the landing of physical retail outlets, the proposed retail price of $12.97.
