PDC launched LED with ultra-thin passive cooling solutions

1.6mm business group (PDC) in 2007 successfully completed the development of LED ultra-thin heat treatment solutions, product thickness up to 0.5mm, thinner than the traditional program. Taking white 1W LED as an example, the total area of PDC is only 30mm in diameter, and the LED can be reduced from 80 DEG C to a temperature of 55 DEG C to achieve the characteristics of light, thin, short and small.

PDC said that the traditional heat sink can only do the effect of heat conduction, and the majority of aluminum as a base material, in addition to poor results, the volume is large and heavy. There are also manufacturers of aluminum nitride or ceramic as heat conducting material, but need to match the radiator, increase costs and design difficulties. PDC's products are passive non-metallic materials Passive Dimensional Dissipation material (referred to as PDD), and the combination of heat and cooling functions, the best heat treatment solutions.

Because of the heat problem, the brightness of the LED itself can be improved and the life of the product can be prolonged. On the street as an example, the current standard LED lamp weight is about 14kg, while the existing manufacturers expected weight to 10kg; to estimate according to the current experimental data of PDC PDD, have the opportunity to street light weight down to below 10kg, then in addition to easy installation, can save transportation cost and resources, and delete a lot of free the efficiency of material cost.
