Maxim launches independent dimming three channel LED driver

MAX16824/MAX16825 three channel LED driver can work between the input voltage range of 6.5 V ---28 v. Provides three rated output current of up to 36 volts with a constant current sink output and can drive high brightness 150mA of each LED. Each output current can be programmed by an external current sense resistor. MAX16824 has three pulse width modulation input to control the output current load rate, to achieve a wider range of LED dimming. Each corresponding output also has an on / off function of PWM input. MAX16825 provides a 2Mbps, four wire serial interface, 3-bit shift register and a 3-bit transparent latch. Serial interface enables the microcontroller to configure the output channel.

MAX16824/MAX16825 reduces the need for external components while also providing + 5% LED current accuracy. The 4mA also has an output current capability of +5V (+ 5%) for automatic regulation of output and over temperature protection. MAX16824/MAX16825 is also available in the 16-pin TSSOP-EP package and can be operated at -40 DEG to +85 C DEG C range.
