CREE demonstration of this model for the A-19 LED light in the case of light efficiency of 102 lm/W output up to 969 lumens
At the end of October annual meeting, Cree chairman and chief executive Chuck Swoboda demonstrated a A-lamp LED light bulbs in the light effect was 102 lm/W under the condition of the output of 969 lumens.
According to CREE, this latest achievement is the industry's highest lumen output and efficiency record.
The light output of the LED bulb is equivalent to a 65W incandescent bulb, but its power is only 9.5 W. The demonstration of the A-19 bulb uses CREE's latest R & D and mass production of XLamp XP-G LED and true white light (TrueWhite) patented technology.
A-19 bulb can emit 2800 K warm white light, CRI reached 91, CREE that all of these data have been tested by the third party certification.
Swoboda said that each one LED element may have spawned new applications, "we are excited that we are not only to show the world what we do, but also to meet the expectations of the people of all the LED bulb. "
Day before Philips became the first organization to the government of the United States L Prize lighting design competition (60 watt incandescent lamp replacement product design competition) submitted to the LED lamps of the participating manufacturers, competition for light output to replace the traditional 60W incandescent lamp bulb LED to more than 900 lumens, energy consumption is less than 10W, the light effect over 90lm/w, CRI it should be more than 90, the temperature in the range of 2700-3000K. Currently Philips submitted lamps are being assessed by the parties.
It is still not possible to determine whether CREE will be able to produce the LED bulb in the future, or to provide technical licensing, or to the lighting manufacturers (such as GE?) Sales of this LED? It's still unknown.
