Catalyst launched 16 bit LED driver CAT9532

Analog / mixed signal devices and nonvolatile memory supplier Catalyst semiconductor company expanded its I/O expander product line, the launch of the CAT9532 16 LED driver with dimming and flash control function, also can be used as an ordinary I/O extender.

As a direct replacement for PCA9532, CAT9532 provides the ability to drive 16 parallel LED for backlight and RGB color mixing applications, while providing a 256 level dimming function. This device can also be opened and closed or flashing each LED (flashing frequency is two programmable options), in addition, the device can also through I2C or SMBus interface to realize the sensor control, power switch, switch button and indicator lighting etc..
