The two sides will establish LED industry procurement mechanism

November 19th, the working group on economic cooperation between the two sides held a meeting in Taipei. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to establish a procurement mechanism to expand the pilot to join Shanxi and Harbin, and for the first time to join the LED indoor lighting fixtures.

Prior to the mainland of the local government procurement of products, coupled with the two sides of the procurement of product specifications and standards have different views, resulting in a technical barrier, so Taiwan plant proposed the establishment of procurement mechanism recommendations. At the meeting, the two sides agreed that the procurement of standard operating procedures (SOP) must be planned, but whether or not to take the restriction of tender, that is, jointly by the two sides of the joint tender manufacturers to be exchanged views with the industry, and the land confirmed.

Expand the pilot, joined the Shanxi province and Harbin City, Shanxi province will use the LED indoor lamp bulb lamp, focus on lighting in Harbin monuments; LED street, will use more than 5000 LED lights for road lighting.

Officials said the Ministry of economic affairs, after the pilot cities of cross-strait LED industry cooperation is Xiamen and Guangzhou, Xiamen plans to replace 1000 LED street lights, Guangzhou is to promote the 50 thousand indoor LED lighting fixtures. Currently the replacement of these two pilot cities will continue to complete the work.
