Luminous flux attenuation is a key indicator to determine the life of the LED, the United States Energy Star (ES) will be LED lighting products to maintain the rate of light is below 70% is defined as the termination of the life of LED lighting products. The development of a rapid reliability evaluation method for life assessment of LED lighting products has become a key issue in the industry. In response to this problem, the State Key Laboratory of semiconductor lighting joint innovation lasted two years of research, developed a "CSA020 LED lighting product luminous output accelerated decay test method".
Test method for CSA020 based in the United States Energy Star, LM-79, LM-80H and TM-21, on the basis of the "e model" and "Arrhenius acceleration model" and "Poisson" theory, acceleration attenuation test a new method is proposed: by improving the test environment temperature (to improve the junction temperature of LED to further shorten the test time). In the proposed maximum temperature of 55 degrees Celsius test conditions, within 2000 hours of data, can be used to replace the ES method required room temperature data for 6000 hours. This method not only shortens the traditional 6000 hour test time to within 2000 hours, but also keeps the quality and precision of the ES method. Fan Xuejun said that the use of the standard accelerated decay test method is feasible and reasonable, not only in theory, but also with the actual test data of LED lighting lamps were verified.
At present, more than 400 members of the unit in the CSA020 alliance in the national semiconductor lighting project after discussion and solicit the views of industry wide enterprise, by more than eighty members of the unit officially voted to officially released, and gradually applied in domestic testing institutions. As a rapid test method for determining the life expectancy of LED lighting products, it will better support the implementation of the relevant national financial subsidy policies, will certainly play a huge role in promoting the development and industrial development of LED lighting products.
