Taiwan plant launched the world's first display LED Light Bar measurement standards

SEMI recently announced that in Qili AUO, EPISTAR, Zhi Mao, ITRI measurement center of Taiwan display industry and downstream industry cooperation, through the SEMI international standard industrial technology platform, integration in the United States, Japan and South Korea, Europe and other countries, led by LED Light Bar global first a liquid crystal display LED backlight module within the measurement standard, will help the relevant industry production and reduce the cost of communication.

ITRI Measurement Center Deputy Director Lin Zengyao pointed out that the standard LED Light Bar measurement method and communication language for testing equipment manufacturers, do not need to be tailored to individual customer requirements of the measurement method to adjust the machine, can greatly reduce the cost of manufacturing and research and development.

Standard for LED backlight module LED Light Bar measuring the liquid crystal display through the definition, 2D image analysis method can also calculate more brightness, and can accurately detect the defects of LED Light Bar offset playing pieces, can greatly shorten the testing time, and synchronous detection and optical mechanism design. The formulation of the measurement standard of flat panel display industry has 3 major economic benefits, including upstream and downstream industry have clear specifications and the same communication language, reduce disputes, through the standard definition of test environment and analysis method, LED Light Bar quality is more accurate, and effectively improve the quality and efficiency of product delivery quality.

SEMI Taiwan FPD international industry technical standards committee approved in July 2008, officially became a SEMI FPD international industry standards committee, Taiwan flat panel display industry downstream, and government research experts an important platform for exchange of views.
