Notice! The national standard "Specifications for Measurement of Interfering Light from Outdoor Lighting" will be implemented on April 1

It was learned from the official website of the National Standards Administration that the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) approved 169 national standards including "Non-Self-Indicating Scales" and announced them on December 31, 2019.


Among the 169 national standards, one is related to lighting, namely GB/T 38439-2019 "Specifications for Measurement of Interfering Light from Outdoor Lighting". The implementation date of this standard is April 1, 2020. The competent department is the National Standardization Administration Committee (469), and the responsible unit is the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Urban Public Facilities Services (TC537).

The national standard "Specifications for Measurement of Interference Light from Outdoor Lighting" (GB/T 38439-2019) stipulates the general requirements, measuring instruments, measurement methods, etc. for the measurement of interference light generated by outdoor lighting facilities. It is applicable to the measurement of interference light emitted by outdoor lighting and related lighting devices such as landscape lighting, luminous advertising signs, LED displays, and LED media walls, which affects areas and people such as residential areas, traffic roads, urban public rest areas, and natural ecological areas.
