Kennedy Space Center has become the first demonstration of the full flight model of the space shuttle exhibition hall, using Lumenpulse's LED lighting solutions. The space shuttle Atlantis, which is 30 feet above sea level, exhibits a new exhibition of advanced lighting technology that shows the form of a spacecraft in space.
The lighting scheme of the pavilion is designed by Fisher Marantz Stone lighting design company, uses 250 Lumenpulse products, it can change with the color temperature and color, to create special lighting environment again in outer space.
"This project, shape factor and flexibility is crucial, but Lumenpulse's product is consistent with the requirements of this project, more importantly, they provide high power allocation scheme more stringent high lumen package," Fisher Marantz Stone Project Manager Paula Martinez-Nobles said.
NASA is very familiar with the LED Technology: adjustable, dynamic white light technology is used to adjust the astronauts sleep patterns. "The space center has to be reliable and easy to maintain, and they don't want to climb the orbiter every few months to adjust the bulbs, so it is necessary to use the LED light," she said.
For Lumenpulse president and chief executive officer Francois-Xavier Souvay, the exhibition not only shows the strength of the current LED technology, but also gave the space shuttle Atlantis due respect.
"Anyone who is interested in NASA's space shuttle program or the orbiter itself will be disappointed if it is to be seen in a traditional museum. This modern, vibrant lighting design offers visitors a chance to meet with atlantis. For such an important part of the history of space, it is very dramatic and very appropriate. We are honored to be able to participate in this exciting exhibition, "he said.
Space shuttle Atlantis is the last orbiter to fly in space. It is the centerpiece of the 90000 square foot exhibition, which is designed specifically for the NASA's space shuttle program.
