Hisense said it plans to set up LCD modules and blue light emitting diode factory

China according to Hisense group to the Shanghai stock exchange filings show that by 2009, the company will invest 700 million yuan (about $94 million 700 thousand), creating the five LCD module production line.

Hisense will be divided into three stages to build the five production line. The first LCD module production line will be completed by the end of this year, the other two production lines will be completed by 2008; the remaining two production lines will be completed by 2009. The total output of the five production lines will be around 3 million units. In addition, the company also plans to create a blue light emitting diode (LED BLU) production line. Hisense recently released about 100 million new shares, will provide funding for the LCD module and blue light emitting diode production line investment. The company will raise about 1 billion yuan of funds through these new shares.
