Cooper Industries acquisition Clarity Lighting and GS Metals two companies

December 12, 2007 - Cooper Industrial (Cooper Industries, CBE) announced that it has acquired LED architectural lighting and control of Britain's solution design and manufacturer of Clarity Lighting, also bought Illinois's customized metal safety support system and stair manufacturer GS Metals. Expected after the merger of the two companies in 2007 revenue of about $55 million, the total price of $49 million acquisition.

Cooper industries is a global manufacturer of electronic products and tools, ranked 500 in the United States fortune, in 2006 the total revenue reached $5 billion 200 million, of which about 85% of the sales of electronic products.
