Holland LUXeXceL group recently announced that it will invest in the construction of a new 3D printing plant, the plant will be used for the production of LED lighting optical components. The first plant and equipment installed in the beginning of this month, is expected in the second half of 2014, the first digital production line will be put into operation.
LUXeXceL founder and chief executive officer Richard de Vrie said: "our new printer can print very precise LED lighting optical devices, with which we will continue to spew out a new optical material" (van). This 3D printing factory has also enhanced the ability of optical designers to provide customized applications for the LED industry, projects and even a single product manufacturing. "
It is understood that this technology can help LED lighting manufacturers substantial savings in product development costs and time. This kind of digital technology can be used in product prototype, small batch production and mass production, and enhance the degree of freedom of optical designers to facilitate their continuous iteration and continuous improvement of product design.
The factory will install LUXeXceL and its partners with the development of high-precision fast LED optical device 3D printer. This 3D printer can achieve one step from CAD to finished product, the 3D printing process, only one job can be done to print optical components, no post-processing.
