Acuity Brands announces Q4 and full-year results for fiscal year 2025

Recently, the well-known lighting company Acuity Brands released its fourth quarter results and full-year financial report as of August 31, 2025. Thanks to the growth of its lighting and smart space businesses, Acuity Brands' fourth quarter and full-year revenue increased significantly.
Acuity Brands focuses on the design, production and sales of indoor and outdoor lighting solutions. Its products and solutions are widely used in commercial, residential, industrial and agricultural fields.
In the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, Acuity Brands achieved net sales of US$1.209 billion (approximately RMB 8.82 billion), a year-on-year increase of 17.1%; quarterly operating profit was US$181 million, a year-on-year increase of 15%; adjusted operating profit was US$225 million, a year-on-year increase of 26%.
In terms of full-year performance, Acuity Brands achieved net sales of US$4.346 billion (approximately RMB 31.72 billion) in fiscal year 2025, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%. Full-year operating profit increased to US$564 million; adjusted operating profit rose to US$769 million. In fiscal 2025, Acuity Brands' cash flow from operating activities was US$601 million and free cash flow was US$533 million.
In terms of sectors, Acuity Brands Lighting (ABL) lighting business's full-year revenue reached US$3.612 billion, a slight increase of 1.1% year-on-year, and its adjusted operating profit margin rose to 18.3%. Acuity Intelligent Spaces (AIS)'s intelligent space business has experienced strong growth, with full-year revenue reaching US$764 million, a significant year-on-year increase of 162%, and adjusted operating profit reaching US$164 million.
It is worth noting that during the reporting period, Acuity Brands also completed the acquisition of audio, video and control (AV&C) solution provider QSC and sports lighting company M3 Innovation, and also repurchased approximately 436,000 ordinary shares for a total amount of approximately US$119 million.
The CEO of Acuity Brands said that the company has achieved sustained growth and profitability improvement in fiscal year 2025, and the rapid expansion of the smart space business proves the company's strategic effectiveness in technology integration and space management solutions.
