United States released LED Street satisfaction survey: 95% of the city is satisfied

The Northeast Group (Northeast Group) is an American with intelligent energy as the focus of the market research company, before the company released a survey on LED street public satisfaction with the United States, showed that 95% SSL lights have been installed in the United States in the city of satisfaction.

Satisfaction applies to municipal officials and citizens, including performance and lighting quality. Looking ahead, the Northeast Group is expected to provide additional energy savings along with technological advances in LED streetlights. Specifically, adaptive control and dimming can be an additional reduction in energy consumption of 20% to 30%.

But the bad road barriers to LED promotion is the initial capital, the research report pointed out that in the 45% city survey are basically from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (American Recovery And Reinvestment Act, ARRA) funds to pay the entire street lights in engineering. In addition, 36% of urban road lighting projects use ARRA funds or other forms of funding to provide part of the funds. In most cases, ARRA funds are gone, except for the ongoing projects. Fortunately, the price of SSL is declining, making LED based lighting more affordable, shorter payback period.

Northeast Group is also expected in the United States, by 2025 LED and smart street lighting market will reach a total of $4 billion 700 million. Clearly, there is still a lot of opportunities in the market segments. However, according to statistics, in the United States, the popularity of LED street lamp is less than 1%.
