United States, Dallas launched the 2014 future lighting contest"

The United States in January 15th to 19 in Dallas launched the Twelfth "future lighting contest". Similar to last year, the contest for the elderly lighting design will give bonus points, and encourage more OLED lighting design competition.

From 2010 to 2013, the lighting contest will be set up lighting control competition, which requires lighting control devices must be equipped with fluorescent or LED technology. The event will be continued in the 2014 lighting contest. 2013 competition for the first time OLED into the game, in 2014 OLED will continue to be included in the project.

Competition jury will be based on the functionality of the product, the installation and use of convenience, innovation and compatibility with other systems and existing lamps to compete for the product score. The evaluation of OLED is mainly based on the lighting efficiency, marketability and energy saving. In 2013, the future of lighting contest to elect a total of 10 award-winning products, 5 awards and 2 nominations encouraged award winning units mainly include Acuity Brands, Edge Lighting, Evolution Lighting, Juno Lighting, LEDnovation, Legrand, LITON Lighting, Nesora Lighting, Philips Lighting, Prism Co. Ltd, Samjin Lnd Co. Ltd, SWITCH Lighting and WAC Lighting.

The deadline for applying for the future lighting contest is April 18, 2014. The contest will be announced at the awards ceremony at the ALA conference in Nashville in September 16th.
