The national development and Reform Commission resource conservation and environmental protection department deputy director Lv Wenbin said, our country through the implementation of green lighting project, energy saving effect is remarkable, the formation of annual saving 32 billion kwh, reduce carbon dioxide emissions of 24 million tons capacity; the lighting industry structure optimization, energy-saving lamps, incandescent lamp output ratio from 1:1 in 2099 to 2013 1.28:1; efficient lighting products continue to improve market share, up from 67% in 2013 to 85% in 2009.

Jia Fusheng, director of the national energy conservation center, said China is the world's largest producer and consumer of lighting products. 2013 incandescent lamp production 3 billion 890 million, accounting for about 1/3 of global output, energy saving lamp production of about 4 billion 160 million, accounting for about 80% of global output. If all the incandescent lamps used in the replacement of energy-saving lamps, the annual saving 48 billion kwh, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions of 48 million tons, energy saving and emission reduction potential.
