Seize the middle market OSRAM push $30 smart bulbs

Smart bulbs are the basic equipment for home automation, but it is still very difficult to choose. On the one hand, similar to GE Link and other low-end LED smart bulbs, although cheap, but the lack of independent applications; PHILPS Hue and Belkin WeMo LED although support for color adjustment, but the price is too expensive. In this case, OSRAM Lightify at a moderate price, and compatible with the Belkin WeMo standard, it seems attractive.

Design and performance

OSRAM Lightify has 40 watts and 60 watts of two standards, including 60 watt model has approximately 850 lumens brightness, color temperature range 2680K-5273K (2700L-6500K standard), while the power consumption is 9.5 watts (PHILPS Hue brightness of 750 lumens of the power consumption of 9 watts), or very good. However, OSRAM Lightify does not support a wide range of RGB color adjustment.

Connection, OSRAM Lightify has a separate Hub, the use of mobile applications to scan QR code can be connected, or quite convenient. The application has a switch, adjust color temperature and other mainstream features, a slightly dissatisfied part of the switch is turned on, the light bulb takes about half a second to really light.

In addition to remote control, users can also use the programming function for some custom rules set. We also tested the compatibility of the OSRAM Lightify WeMo standard and are currently unable to find control features in WeMo applications, but Belkin is expected to soon provide IFTTT support.

Summary

OSRAM Lightify smart bulbs for the price set $60 (about 376 yuan), each lamp is priced at $30 (about 188 yuan), will be officially listed in March of this year, in the end the market still has certain competitiveness.
