Second tier brand competition effect LED light bulb prices fall

LED industry research firm LEDinside pointed out, LED lighting products in the market exposure increased significantly. In the regional market, LEDinside said that in 2011 July the price, the price decline is most obvious in Europe, the average price fell more than 2 digit percentage; the decline in addition to exchange rate factors and the original brand manufacturers for the product price a slight adjustment, the main factor is the new product from the second tier brand on the impact, making the average price fell significantly.

Secondly, the price decline is more obvious in the market in Japan, the local LED bulb average price fell by about 5%, followed by the U.S. market, as for the South Korean market, LED bulb price is flat.

The LED bulb, which replaces the traditional 60W incandescent bulb, has an average retail price of $45, and its price is down 6% from June.
