In the field of high-speed optical chips, Sanan Optoelectronics officially launched 100G EML chips. This chip can be adapted to 800G mainstream optical module solutions, achieving full-process autonomy from design to manufacturing, and providing key domestic device options for the next generation of AI computing power networks. It is reported that at present, the high-performance optical chip market has long been dominated by a few American and Japanese companies, and the localization rate is relatively low. Sanan's move will help alleviate the supply and demand pressure in the industry chain.
In terms of overseas market expansion, Sanan's CW light source products have passed the certification of overseas leading customers. This series of products covers mainstream power specifications of 70mW and 100mW, and can meet the needs of high-speed optical modules from 400G to 1.6T.
In response to the trend of automobile intelligence, Sanan Optoelectronics is actively laying out the vehicle optical communication track. Autonomous driving has extremely high requirements on the bandwidth and reliability of data transmission, and traditional transmission architecture faces challenges. In this regard, Sanan has developed automotive-grade optical chips that meet harsh environmental requirements, and has reached strategic cooperation with leading downstream companies in the industry chain to jointly promote the industrialization of wide-temperature VCSEL and PD products.
Sanan Optoelectronics stated that currently, relying on vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities, the company's high-speed PDs used in data centers have been shipped in batches, and 100G EML, CW light sources and automotive optical chips have all achieved large-scale delivery capabilities.
In addition to the progress in the above-mentioned optical communication business, Sanan Optoelectronics has also recently achieved the latest results in the most cutting-edge Micro LED optical interconnection technology. Sanan Optoelectronics, Tsinghua University and China Mobile have successfully developed a Micro LED light source device with high-speed modulation capabilities. After testing, the 3dB modulation bandwidth of the device is expected to exceed 7GHz. Based on communication model calculations, its NRZ-OOK data transmission rate is expected to exceed 10Gb/s, laying an important technical foundation for the research and development of short-distance high-speed optical interconnection and new optical communication systems.
