Everlight was founded in 1983. It was first positioned to do LED packaging and made additional investments such as chip side. Since its development, Everlight Electronics has built four major production bases: Taipei, Miaoli, Taichung, Xiaolan, Zhongshan, and Wujiang, Suzhou. Yang Zhilong, chief engineer of Everlight R&D, said, "Based on the current overall volume, Everlight is currently producing 3 billion LEDs per month." It is reported that this output ranks first among global packaging companies in terms of production capacity, and also confirms Everlight's status among global packaging companies.
From a packaging perspective, Everlight has been pursuing high cost performance and cutting-edge technology development, and has invested its research and development products in the lighting industry. Therefore, in 2005, Everlight established Everlight Solid-State Lighting Co., Ltd. in Taiwan, which is responsible for product certification, R&D, manufacturing, quality and marketing. In 2012, Everlight established Everlight Lighting Management Shanghai Co., Ltd. in Shanghai as the core base for Everlight to enter the mainland market.
More than 870 dealers, channel construction in progress
In 2013, Everlight officially entered the mainland market. In just one year, Everlight has opened up markets in 22 provinces in mainland China, with more than 870 dealers and 3,000 distributors. This is a very good result for an emerging brand that has just entered the market.
How to improve the performance of dealer partners is Everlight’s top priority at present. It is reported that in terms of future channel planning, Everlight may slowly shift from last year's single pure distribution channel planning to distribution plus engineering channels. In addition, starting from the second half of this year, e-commerce channels may also be included in channel construction planning.
Technology leadership and four highlights of the exhibition
As mentioned before, Everlight places special emphasis on "being at the forefront of the industry" in maintaining orderly development of the company. Therefore, Everlight has invested a huge amount of manpower and financial resources in technology and product research and development, and has built a strong R&D team, including 152 PhDs, 479 masters, and 759 undergraduates, to ensure that in the future, in terms of brightness trends, lighting application trends, etc., Everlight can obtain information at the first time, and apply combinations to create better technologies and products.
During this year’s Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, Everlight exhibited its self-developed integrated packaging components with small light-emitting surface, high beam density and dual color temperature concepts. It has no problems with excess exposed silver wires and blackening of the silver layer, and its service life is also extended. At the same time, Everlight also launched CSP technology with small size, large angle and low thermal resistance. The uniformity of the light source is improved and can be applied to backlights and flashes.
Everlight mainly presents its products around four directions of technology:
First, many of the products exhibited at this exhibition have a display value of more than 90, and it is believed that technological applications with high display value will gradually emerge;
Second, dimming and coloring are based on the needs of people's living environment. We have made single beads that can dimm and color, and have launched COB dimming and coloring parts. These are also the key application products presented at this exhibition;
Third, Everlight has opened a special exhibition area for modular applications;
Fourth, intelligent control. Because the demand for control in China exists objectively, at this Guangya Exhibition, Everlight mainly presents LED intelligent control through application products.
The technology-led exhibition format also shows Everlight’s hope of always leading the technology in the industry.
Insist on localization and become the number one Chinese brand
It is understood that among the world-renowned lighting brands, there is still no Chinese brand. Whether we can seize the opportunity to create a world-renowned Chinese lighting brand is our hope for Everlight Lighting.
After putting forward the hope of becoming the first lighting brand in China, Everlight began to step up its layout in channels and markets. In terms of channels, Everlight has more than 870 dealers within one year of entering the mainland market; in terms of market development, Everlight has the Everlight trademark as soon as it enters the mainland market; it has gradually expanded into the North American and European markets and successively purchased well-known local home lighting companies. According to this layout, it is not difficult to see Yiguang’s determination to be the number one lighting brand among Chinese people.
