[LED] - Reuters reported, OSRAM chief executive Olaf Berlien said in April 29th that its planned divestiture lamp takes about 12 months to complete, the construction form and said the new entity is open to the possibility of diversification.

Olaf Berlien said that the German lighting manufacturers board of supervisors on the OSRAM stripped lamp business consistent positive attitude. Prior to the board's decision to vote on the resolution, IT consultants and experts will help to conduct a detailed review.
He said that cooperation, joint venture is the most likely option, although the company has not mentioned any potential partners. Financial and strategic partners are within the scope of consideration, he added.
Reported OSRAM 2014 fiscal year (October 2013 -2014 September) annual revenues of 5 billion 142 million euros, among them, LED lighting system & Department of fiscal year 2014 revenues of 454 million euros; traditional lamps & ballast sector revenues of 1 billion 963 million euros; lamps & Solutions Department of revenue of 469 million euros. Lamp and lamp business accounted for 40%, the proportion has declined. OSRAM will be stripped off, or will focus on automotive lighting and components. (compile /LED net Nicole)
