OSRAM and LG group reached a settlement on the LED patent case

OSRAM solved before the largest patent disputes about LED. OSRAM said it had reached an agreement with South Korea's rival LG group. All lawsuits in the United States, Germany, South Korea, Japan and China will be resolved. As for the details, the two sides agreed to remain silent.

In licensing negotiations after the failure of the OSRAM company in June 2011 in a number of countries of South Korea LG group filed a complaint. August, OSRAM and Samsung Electronics Group in South Korea reached a settlement on the LED patent.

Aldo OSRAM semiconductor CEO Kamper said, satisfied with the settlement. LG group also said that after the end of the patent dispute is pleased to expand cooperation with OSRAM in the field of intellectual property rights.

In order to obtain financial support and achieve the transformation, OSRAM will be listed next year. However, due to the stock market volatility and weak lighting market, OSRAM parent company SIEMENS group has canceled the traditional public offering plan.
