LG Innotek known as the world wide LED production base in Han Jiancheng

Korea LG Co. is a company dedicated to the display and lighting LED vertical integration manufacturers, recently announced it has built the world's largest single LED in Korea Paju, manufacturing base, the base covers all aspects of the LED epitaxial wafer to LED module manufacturing.

South Korea LG Innotek also announced that the base installed more than 10000 LED lighting lamp. The LED adopts a variety of high-efficiency LED lighting module LG Innotek development, ReflectA lighting module ModulA and indirect reflective lighting module including flat panel.

It is reported that South Korea LG Innotek Paju base has begun to put into use in July 2010, including production facilities, administration building and related infrastructure, a total area of about 182 thousand square meters, equivalent to 26 of the size of a football field.

LG Innotek base target output is to produce 1 billion 800 million LED units, third layer building is a comprehensive production workshop area of 58 thousand square meters, with 6 inch wafer production line, LED chip production line and production line for the LED module LCD TV backlight unit and LED module for lighting production line.

The company expects to provide 2000 jobs in its first year, with a total of about 4000 jobs. LG Innotek said in its first year and put into use in the LED production base for saving a total of 173 thousand kilowatts of electricity, equivalent to about using fluorescent lamps and other traditional lighting power consumption 20%.

The report also said that the headquarters of LG Electronics - LG Petronas Twin Towers is also installed in the LED lighting, lighting design of the two buildings is expected to save about 1717 megawatts of electricity per year. But before the release, there is no further details about the project.
