LED will create a luminous halo swing (Figure)

In Boston, the playground is no longer just a place for children. The 20 LED glow of the circular swing placed outdoors as part of the "Swing Time", which is also the first interactive sculpture device in Boston. The suspension and luminous ring swing is a traditional rubber ring rope hanging on the combination of innovation, small iron and steel structure, and the traditional sports field with the similar iron. LED lights embedded in the swing inside, with the swing of the swing, which will change the color of the lantern, when the rest will return to the dark white.

Swing Time is inspired by the traditional sports field, the purpose is to use technology and creativity to build outdoor space in Boston. The swing was designed by Howeler and Yoon, based in Boston, to improve the city's lack of leisure space. Swing Time is located on the lawn of contemporary sculpture D Park, and D park is also connected to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Centre in D street, South Boston, Binhu.

The project also reflects the integration of technology and community participation, but also to encourage local innovation provides a new platform. Each swing has a specific model, made of polypropylene welded three dimensions of the swing, applicable to all people. The amplitude of each swing is measured by an internal accelerometer, which triggers the LED light system to change the color, from white to blue to violet.
