LED lamps export must establish complete product "quality chain"

In recent years, with the rise and development of LED lighting industry, China's LED lighting products export momentum is good. However, due to the LED lighting industry as a whole is not yet mature, many small and micro enterprises, poor quality control, resulting in frequent product quality problems. It is understood that in 2012 the EU non food rapid alert system (RAPEX) informed China's exports of LED lighting products a total of 37 times. Among them, due to creepage distance or electrical gap is not sufficient to cause poor insulation performance was informed 29 times.

Creepage distance is the shortest distance between two conductive parts measured along the insulation surface. Electrical clearance is the shortest distance between two conductive parts. Both are important parameters to reflect the electrical insulation performance. Creepage distance or electric gap is not enough, will cause breakdown short circuit or equipment damage, serious will lead to electric shock casualties. Therefore, from the point of view of safety, it is necessary to ensure that there is enough creepage distance and electrical clearance.

According to the Kunshan inspection and Quarantine Bureau statistics, in 2012 exports of lamps and lanterns 160 million U.S. dollars in Kunshan, an increase of 139.7%, of which LED lighting products accounted for 80%. In order to protect the quality and safety of export LED lighting products, and reduce the international notification of Chinese products, inspection and quarantine departments to the enterprise put forward three suggestions. First, pay close attention to familiar with the relevant product standards, understanding and attention to international regulations and directives issued by the EU in particular, to avoid quality problems from the source of product design. Two is to strengthen the product inspection, strictly in accordance with the provisions of the relevant provisions of the implementation of the standard inspection. Creepage distance or gap can be found by electric strength test, and can be measured by special measuring instrument. Three is to enhance the quality control of enterprises, and gradually improve the enterprise product design review, inspection, process validation, product testing and other aspects of the management system, the establishment of a complete product quality chain".
