LED explosion-proof lamp output value in 2020 was estimated at $248 million

Taiwan Optoelectronics Association (PIDA) said, LED explosion-proof lamp output to 2020 up to $248 million (about 1 billion 550 million yuan) scale.

In order to seize the LED market opportunities, Taiwan LED industry must focus on cultivating a number of high potential products, strengthen product segmentation, in order to break the existing pattern of development. Expand the high order LED lighting market can be upgraded to the level of explosion-proof light, according to ElectroniCast statistics, LED explosion-proof lamps in 2013 the global output value of $151 million (equivalent to about 943 million yuan), an increase of 7.3%.

PIDA said at the same time, to meet the lighting, petrochemical, chemical, mining, semiconductor, shipbuilding, food, pharmaceutical and other requirements for safety and energy saving special working environment, electric dust explosive, global LED explosion-proof lamp output to 2020 up to $248 million.

In the face of the international market, and the competition pressure, PIDA and LED lighting industry alliance (TLLIA) cooperation, hope can bring together members of the Union forces, under a new opportunity to seek LED lighting, effectively enhance the competitiveness and influence of LED lighting industry in Taiwan international.
