According to U.S. media reports, Ford has been working with the United States NextEnergy company to automotive lighting challenge as the theme, accelerate the development of LED lamps for vehicles.
The event invites suppliers to compete with other participants in different challenges to promote progress in specific areas. Michigan's economic development board and Detroit and NextEnergy to create jobs in Michigan, will provide the golden idea of the winner to provide up to $40 thousand (about 245 thousand yuan) bonus.
The "featherweight" challenge requires participants to lighting products R & D weight minimum maximum amount of light radiation. Other competition involves the ability to innovate in assembly, light emitting diodes (LED) and organic light emitting diodes (OLED), solar simulation, recycling, and structural integration, which can be applied to the seat and door.
The company pointed out that its new Ford F-150 pickup car headlights, car rearview mirror lights and cargo table using LED, while Ford Mustang brake lights, lights and taillights are completely LED.
The challenge will be in November 19th in the US state of Michigan in Lansing (Lansing) at the Michigan conference of advanced lighting, the winner will be selected in the second half of next year.
