Japanese enterprises pass March production OLED lighting panel cost reduced to 1/10

Japanese pioneer Pioneer will start mass production in the use of light-emitting layer coating type in the production base in March using Yamagata Yonezawa (by the coating process to form a light emitting layer) production technology OLED lighting panel, side panel with square conversion of 10cm, the initial monthly production for several thousand pieces, and plans to second half of the year 2014 (October 2014 -2015 March) will yield amplified to about 40 thousand tablets. According to reports, Pioneer is working with MITSUBISHI (Mitsubishi Chemical) R & D OLED lighting products, and the production of the product will use the chemical research and development of light-emitting materials.

Reported that the coating technology for without the use of "evaporation" Torgovnik required vacuum device, and can improve the luminescence efficiency, so compared with the evaporation technology, the highest production cost can be reduced to 1/10.

MITSUBISHI chemical, Pioneer announced in September 25th last year, the world's first light-emitting layer coating type OLED lighting module will be shipped from the month of sample shipments. The coating material, a light-emitting layer coating type OLED lighting module uses its own R & D and the MITSUBISHI chemical MITSUBISHI chemical /Pioneer jointly developed components / panel manufacturing technology, and the current vacuum evaporation type technology compared to the manufacturing cost can be reduced by 1/5-1/10, and life can be increased 4 times (30 thousand hours, brightness 2000cd/m2).

Pioneer has joined hands with MITSUBISHI chemical to set up a OLED lighting sales company, and plans to win 2019 OLED lighting market share of the city in, revenue challenges of 30 billion yen.

According to the Nikkei pointed out that, compared with LED lighting, OLED light emitted by the light is closer to natural light, but even with the above coating technology, its price is still up to LED times the 2-3 lighting.
