PHILPS (Philips) and Accenture (Accenture) two company in the United States on August 5, 2014 announced the development of a device to be able to measure brain waves and wearable display connected to the concept of verification software. It is expected to be used in the treatment of patients with neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The software enables the brain wave scanning device Emotiv "Insight Brainware" and wearable display linkage, by Accenture Technology Lab and PHILPS digital Accelerator Laboratory jointly developed. The user interface on the display is designed by Fjord, a consulting firm based in accenture.
According to reports, the system will be Emotiv Insight Brainware and wearable display connected to the tablet computer, which enables the brain commands to control the production of PHILPS TV, LED lighting and emergency notification service system etc.. Even patients with ALS who have lost muscle and eye movement can also operate the products that are connected to the tablet by instructions from the brain. Emotiv Insight Brainware equipped with real-time detection of the patient's will, feelings and expressions, and capture their brain electrical signal sensor technology.
Users can also control the home appliances by sight or voice. By using a wearable display, you can use the vision to operate the APP menu.
