IEC international LED backlight standard conference held in Korea

October 2008 12-15, the delegates gathered in Seoul, South Korea, held the IEC international LED backlight standard meeting.

In LED backlight standard working group meeting, representatives of the newly established LED backlight international standard project "Measurement methods of PT 62595 LED backlight unit for liquid crystal displays" programme of work are discussed. Subsequently, members of the expert group on 2007 Sapporo after the meeting, experts from various countries were discussed carefully. At the meeting, it was fully accepted by the Chinese mainland for the revision of the standard framework, which considers only optical and optoelectronic properties. The project team consists of South Korea, Japan, the United States, Finland, China five members, China, sent Electronics Standardization Institute Secretary General Zhao Ying, chairman of Hangzhou Mou Tongsheng Zhejiang tricolor Instruments Co. Ltd. and Shanghai SVA Group Mr. Lu Haifeng to participate in the work of standard project group. At the meeting, the project team leader of South Korea's Mee-Ryoung Dr. CHO invited Professor BLU China mainland is responsible for drafting LED backlight backlight dynamic backlight and power consumption measurement standards.

Backlight BLU is an important part of LCD liquid crystal display, especially the application of LED backlight will significantly improve the performance of LCD, which is also the main direction of LED in recent years. Japan and South Korea have attached great importance to LED backlight technology development and industrialization, especially Samsung Corp attaches great importance to the development of LED dynamic backlight technology, launched a variety of large size LED backlight TV, to seize the international market.

In recent years, the Chinese mainland and Taiwan LED backlight rapid development, will become an important manufacturing base in the world. Large scale TV with LED backlight and dynamic backlight technology is an important area of technology patents snatch, international standardization is an important way to promote the industrialization of technology. Actively participate in international standardization activities, and undertake important standards, for the development of LED backlight industry is very important.
