Guangdong Finance five years to invest $22 billion to support LED lighting and other emerging industries

The day before yesterday, the Guangdong provincial government website published "on the implementation of the State Council plan to accelerate the cultivation and development of strategic emerging industries" (hereinafter referred to as the "opinions"), the promotion of new energy vehicles, demonstration scale up to 30 thousand vehicles for 2012.

"Opinions" pointed out that the relevant departments of the province should focus on public transport, public affairs, municipal industrial applications, the implementation of the province's new energy vehicles to promote the application of demonstration projects, in 2012 to achieve a new energy vehicle demonstration scale of 30 thousand. Since 2011, the Pearl River Delta region to update or add new buses to use new energy vehicles.

"Opinions" also involves the co-ordination of funds in emerging industries. During the 12th Five-Year, the provincial government invested 22 billion yuan to support the development of strategic emerging industries.

"Opinions" pointed out that in 2015 Guangdong high-end new electronic information, new energy vehicles, semiconductor lighting (LED) to be the first to break the three major industries, biotechnology, high-end equipment manufacturing, energy saving and environmental protection, new energy, new materials and other industries to a certain scale, the strategic emerging industry output to more than 2 trillion and 500 billion yuan, the added value of the proportion of GDP reached about 10%; in the main areas to form a new industry cluster 3-5 a relatively complete industrial chain, the output value of over 100 billion yuan; to 2020, the province's strategic emerging industry output will quadruple that of 2010, accounts for the proportion of GDP to reach about 16%.
