The United States Department of energy (DOE) released last week following the 2014 funded small business innovation research (SBIR) and small business technology transfer (STTR) project, this week issued "2014 advanced solid state lighting technology research and development support plan, and grants totaling $10 million to support the development of new projects.
DOE the funding will continue to support the three kinds of solid-state lighting for many years the main support (SSL) research projects: (1) research on the core technology: the basic concept of science application in SSL technology; (2) product development: the use of the results of the development of basic or applied research or improvement of business value of SSL materials the equipment or system; (3) the United States manufacturing industry: accelerating can reduce costs and increase in the application of SSL technology innovation in production and improve the quality and consistency of.
DOE said the plan will be able to support up to 10 projects, the project deadline is February 24, 2014. The national energy testing laboratory will release details of the program and its application in December 13th.
