Chengdu hand into the industry giant LED lighting

In December 15th, the Chengdu municipal government and PHILPS (Chinese) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which will be announced in Chengdu high tech Zone to invest 25 million euros, LED lighting industry base construction R & D, manufacturing and assembly as a whole.

As one of the national "ten city lights" pilot city, Chengdu city in 2009 will be included in the LED lighting industry in the new energy industry development plan, and start the "LED lighting products application demonstration project" in the following year, with the LED lamp 400 thousand plans to promote the application of lighting lamp, investment 645 million yuan. Today, located in Chengdu high tech Zone PHILPS LED lighting project, is one of the largest projects in the field of introduction of Chengdu. The project covers an area of about 35000 square meters, plans to invest 25 million euros in 5 years, built outdoor and indoor LED lighting production, research and development base; through product industrialization, customized for China's central and western market for energy-efficient LED lighting solutions; the construction of a global leader in LED lighting applications experience center etc.. In accordance with the cooperation agreement between the two sides, the Chengdu municipal government will actively encourage PHILPS to use its professional lighting projects, to carry out advanced lighting research, customer experience research and marketing.

At present, the global lighting giant PHILPS has 13 factories and 4 R & D center in China in June this year, signed a contract with the Chengdu high tech Zone, will set up second regional headquarters for the Midwest, the functions of business involved in the western regional headquarters, Headquarters sales, online sales technical support center and lighting division research and testing center etc.. Chengdu hi tech Zone is expected, the world's largest lighting manufacturers settled in Chengdu, will drive the development of LED chips, metal materials, electronic components, transportation and other industries, the formation of a sound LED lighting industry chain. In accordance with the relevant planning, Chengdu in 2017 to achieve annual output value of 30 billion yuan LED industry.
