Cat pupil technology gold award can enhance the brightness and power LED lights

According to the Nikkei technology online reports, Taiwan auto parts factory goods (BEAMPRO Technology) Bo science and technology in the "Electronic Exhibition" 2015 Taipei International Auto Parts Exhibition cum car, exhibited a micro lens "cat pupil can improve the automobile and motorcycle LED lamp brightness" (Figure 1).

"Cat pupil" makes use of the lens to focus the light emitted by the LED chip, thereby inhibiting the spread of light. Compared with the LED lamp with reflector, the power consumption can be reduced to one-third.

Equipped with cat pupil micro lens, can effectively use more than 95% of the light emitted by the LED chip, the overall efficiency of reflective LED more than 2 times. The microlens is made of a PC (polycarbonate) that has been reinforced. LED chip is used in the United States CREE (CREE) products.

Lens diameter of 7mm, a lens using 1W chip LED. The headlights can be used for fog lights, searchlights, cars and motorcycles (the distant lamp) and other purposes (Figure 2, 3). The product at the show won the "auto parts category" innovative product award.
