Advocating a new concept of energy conservation, Suzhou River Road replaced nearly a thousand LED lights

Recently, attentive citizens will find that when passing by Suzhou River Road at night, the original light yellow street lights have all turned into white, making them brighter and clearer. The author learned yesterday from the Municipal Street Light Management Office of the District Urban Management Bureau that, following Jiangshe Road and Tiyu Road, nearly a thousand street lights on Suzhou River Road have all been replaced with LED lights.
It is reported that the traditional street lamps in urban areas are high-pressure sodium lamps. The yellow light of sodium lamps is not only dim but also consumes very high power. LED street lamps are environmentally friendly and pollution-free, consume less power, have high luminous efficiency and long life. They advocate a new concept of energy saving and are called "green lighting". There are a total of 241 LED street lamps newly "installed" on Suzhou River Road, each with 4 lamps, for a total of 964 lamps. After the transformation, it is expected to save about 30% of electricity consumption per year compared with the original high-pressure sodium lamps.
