2014 LED lighting installed in the U.S. market for the first time exceeded the fluorescent lamp

U.S. energy saving lamps manufacturer Precision Paragon, recently released a survey report on the status of the lighting industry. A total of more than 5000 lighting industry professionals have been interviewed on this project.

More than half of respondents believe that in 2013 the energy saving lighting market has been "moderate" or "significant" growth, while in 2012 the same view of only 20%.

The lighting company surveyed said that in the past few years (mainly from 2010), its performance has achieved varying degrees of growth from 57% to 64%.

63% of respondents said the company's 2013 operating income reached or exceeded its own expectations. As much as 82% of respondents expect the lighting industry demand will continue to grow in 2014.

Although sales of fluorescent lamps remained strong in 2013, respondents said they had accounted for 37% of LED lighting products in 2013. Dating back to 2011 to years in the past three years, the annual growth of LED lighting products is about 8%.

In addition, the respondents believe that by 2014, the installation of LED lighting will exceed the first fluorescent lamps, the dominant position in the lighting market.
