my country's independently developed LED digital movie projection system was exported overseas for the first time

On January 18, 2023, with the authoritative technical guidance and assistance provided by the China Film Science and Technology Institute, the domestic 10-meter LED movie screen (HeyLED) independently developed by Shenzhen Times Huaying Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Times Huaying") officially settled in Krikorian, Los Angeles, the United States, after passing the testing and certification of the Hollywood Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) Auditorium No. 6 of Metroplex Cinema was successfully lit according to DCI technical indicators, achieving a qualitative breakthrough in exporting domestic LED digital movie projection systems overseas from scratch. This system not only has independent intellectual property rights for key technologies, but also has a high degree of localization of core software and hardware systems, and the industrial chain is independently controllable. This is the first time that my country's independently developed LED digital movie projection system has been exported overseas, marking that the domestic LED digital movie projection system has officially gone abroad to serve the development of the international film industry.

In 2022, with the technical support of the China Film Science and Technology Institute, Times Huaying actively promoted the localization process of LED movie projection systems. Starting from scratch, working together and giving full play to their respective advantages, the first generation of domestic LED movie projection systems went from 0 to 1, and the second generation went from usable to easy to use. Both LED movie screens have passed DCI testing and certification. Among them, the 20-meter 4K LED movie projection system LA4K-20 LED giant screen is 20 meters wide and 10.5 meters high. It is the world's largest 4K LED movie projection system. This projection system is an innovation and upgrade of the traditional projection mode. It can fully reflect the excellent audio-visual quality of high-tech format movies and is another important breakthrough in domestic LED movie projection technology. It not only breaks foreign technology monopoly in this area and enhances China's international voice, but also lays a solid foundation for promoting self-reliance and self-reliance in Chinese film technology.

On June 20, 2022, Times China Film and AAM, the world's largest cinema service provider, jointly established the HeyLED Innovation Experience Center in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, USA, to demonstrate my country's independently developed LED digital movie projection system (HeyLED) to major cinema chains, cinema investors, cinema equipment integrators and Hollywood producers around the world. It has won awards from Sony Pictures, Paramount, MGM, Lion Highly recognized by professionals from Gate, Scrabble, MIT, Dolby, IMAX, RealD, AAM, DCDC and other companies. In the future, we will continue to iterate and upgrade to bring the quality and quality of domestic LED movie projection equipment to a new level. 

As the only national film science and technology research institution in China, the China Institute of Film Science and Technology carries the mission of implementing national strategies and serving the film industry. In recent years, it has led a group of domestic LED film projection high-tech enterprises to break through the shackles of DMD core chips in the foreign projection display field and continues to promote the development and upgrading of the national industry of film projection. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: "Accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, accelerate the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance, guide the national strategic needs, gather strength to carry out original and leading scientific and technological research, and resolutely win the battle against key core technologies." In the future, the China Film Science and Technology Research Institute will continue to strengthen our country's In terms of top-level design, planning and layout, and grass-roots promotion in the field of high-tech film research and development and application, we will accelerate the construction and improvement of national strategic scientific and technological capabilities in the film industry, promote self-reliance and self-reliance in key digital film technologies and core software and hardware systems, promote the development and upgrading of the national film industry, and promote more independently developed film technologies to go global.
