ams and Osram join hands with Musco to create a top-notch lighting experience for sports events

On April 26, 2023, ams-OSRAM (Swiss Stock Exchange stock code: AMS), the world's leading optical solutions provider, and Musco, the world's leading sports lighting equipment supplier, announced that Armin-Wolf-Arena, the baseball stadium in Regensburg, Germany, used Musco lighting systems and ams-OSCONIQ® LED to create a new lighting experience for the world's top sports events.

The stadium's new floodlighting uses the Total Light Control®-TLC for LED system provided by Musco Lighting, equipped with ams Osram's OSCONIQ®P 3737 LED, providing a 5700K light source for the TLC for LED.

Armin-Wolf-Arena has been selected to host the 2023 World Baseball Classic qualifying tournament and needs to upgrade its stadium lighting system to comply with lighting standards set by Major League Baseball (MLB).

Musco Lighting Shows, Floodlight The lighting has given the stadium a new look, with the court's illumination levels increasing by 85% and power consumption reduced by 13% compared to the previous lighting system. The new lighting system achieves a high degree of consistency and uniformity across the entire pitch, effectively reducing glare and significantly reducing the amount of light spilling over the boundaries of the stadium.

The new system meets MLB's lighting requirements for the infield and outfield, allowing Armin-Wolf-Arena to host baseball's highest level of world baseball competition, including this year's World Baseball Classic qualifying tournament.
