With an investment of 2.5 billion yuan in the first phase, BOE Chengdu vehicle display project was put into production

On October 12, official news from Chengdu High-tech Zone stated that the BOE Chengdu vehicle display base project jointly invested by BOE Technology Group and BOE Precision Technology has been officially put into production.
It is understood that the Chengdu vehicle display base project is BOE’s largest centralized production base for vehicle display products. The base mainly develops, designs, produces and sells vehicle-mounted display devices, and provides advanced vehicle-mounted display solutions and products. The main products are 5-inch to 48-inch LCD vehicle display modules. The first phase of the project has an investment of 2.5 billion yuan and covers an area of ​​150,000 square meters. According to the previous project plan, the project is expected to light up the first product in December this year, and will produce approximately 15 million vehicle-mounted displays annually after being put into production. Data show that BOE’s vehicle display business includes a variety of products such as automotive instruments, central control assemblies, and entertainment system displays, and applies various display technologies such as flexible AMOLED, BD Cell, and MiniLED. Recently, against the background of the growing domestic demand for new energy vehicles and the development of automobiles towards the "new four modernizations", JD.com Fang’s vehicle-mounted display business is growing rapidly. As BOE’s vehicle display business development platform, BOE Precision’s revenue in the first half of 2022 was HK$4.831 billion, a year-on-year increase of 51%. The commissioning of this project will ensure BOE’s production capacity for vehicle-mounted display products and meet the needs of rapid business development.
