U.S. energy board Caliper test results: LED wall lamp has been competitive

U.S. Energy Agency (DOE) recently released the eighteenth round of Caliper test results. Test results show that, compared with the traditional lamp, embedded LED wall lamp has been very competitive, however, in terms of efficacy and the need to improve the apparent.

This round of testing the object is 17 embedded LED wall wash lights. The physical properties of these products are quite different, but they are similar in light output and light intensity distribution. The basic amount of light and 42W fluorescent lamp or 35W ceramic metal halide lamp.

This round of testing lasted no more than 1800 hours. The measured 17 embedded LED wall lamp efficacy in the range of 23-64lm/W, with an average of 42lm/W. Only three more than 52lm/W. Of which only 9 in line with the DesignLights Alliance (DLC) the minimum performance requirements of qualified products, the requirements of 40lm/W; in line with the current energy star lighting 42lm/W energy efficiency requirements of only 7. Any light source wall wash lights are on the low side, however, there is a lot of room to improve the effectiveness of LED wall lamp.

Color rendering index, 17 embedded LED wall lamp color rendering index is located between 76-92, there are more than 13 of the 80, the use of acceptable in the building, the future color rendering index has yet to be improved.

In addition, the performance of manufacturer claims and actual entry, the 4 large amount in its lack of publicity in 90%, which is two lights significant amount reached only declared value of 14% and 65%; the remaining 12 lamp light output than the declared value is small, but the difference is less than 10%; otherwise an excess claims a value of 14%.
