On April 15, the 8.6th generation AMOLED production line project of Hefei Guoxian Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hefei Guoxian") ushered in another milestone - the first exposure machine was successfully moved into the clean room of the main factory building. As the world's first high-generation AMOLED production line equipped with FMM-free technology (ViP), the move of core process equipment means that the project has entered the equipment installation and commissioning period from the construction period, laying a solid foundation for subsequent product lighting and mass production delivery, and helping the global OLED industry to move towards higher-end forms, higher quality, and higher value.
Since the launch of Hefei Guoxian's 8.6th generation production line, the construction pace has been advancing efficiently: the foundation stone of the production line was laid on September 25, 2024; civil construction started in February 2025, and the main factory building was capped in only 168 days, setting a new high-generation production line construction speed; March 26, 2026 The clean room cleaning of the main factory building was started to lay a solid foundation for the cleanliness of the core equipment. On April 9, Visionox held a ViP technology achievement seminar and appraisal meeting. After appraisal and review by experts such as Ouyang Zhongcan, Cao Yong, and Tian He, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, they unanimously believed that the technology "has reached the internationally leading level." At the meeting, Visionox announced that the upgraded ViP production line in Hefei G6 has supplied Honor wearable products, completing the leap from "bookshelf" to "shelf". ViP technology has the ability to be industrialized on a large scale.
On April 15, Hefei Guoxian held a process equipment move-in ceremony. As production line equipment is moved in, processes are integrated, and production capacity is gradually released, the production line will accelerate into a new stage of large-scale industrialization. As the world's first high-generation AMOLED production line equipped with ViP technology, the total investment in the production line is 55 billion yuan, with a designed production capacity of 32,000 glass substrates (2290mm×2620mm) per month. The new production line can produce AMOLED panels of more sizes, covering multi-size application scenarios from micro to medium-sized, and from flat to 3D displays.
We are currently in the industry window period for deep integration of "AI + display". In addition to terminal products such as AI mobile phones, AI PCs, and smart cars, which have higher requirements for display performance, there are also more innovative applications such as smart robots, smart home acceleration, and display integration. ViP technology features high brightness, low power consumption, long life and excellent image quality, and can meet the performance requirements of a variety of application scenarios. In addition, ViP as a platform technology enables "ViP+" to achieve better performance, making it possible for OLED to penetrate into more application fields.
